The Uganda Southern Africa Tourism Roadshow 2025 was an eight-day, six-city tourism market-development programme conducted across Southern Africa from 2–9 December 2025.

Led by the Uganda High Commission in Pretoria under Uganda’s Economic and Commercial Diplomacy Programme, the roadshow was designed to strengthen Destination Uganda’s presence in Southern African source markets, build direct relationships between Ugandan tourism businesses and regional travel trade, and encourage multi-destination African tourism partnerships.

AfriReps Consult was appointed to coordinate logistics and trade mobilisation for the roadshow. The Ugandan destination marketing delegation was led by Claire Mugabi of AfriReps Consult.

The roadshow travelled through: Johannesburg → Durban → Cape Town → Gaborone → Windhoek → Harare.

The programme brought together tourism boards, destination management companies, tour operators, travel agents, media, private-sector tourism businesses and other tourism stakeholders.

Activities across the roadshow included B2B tourism workshops, buyer/supplier meetings, Destination Uganda presentations, tourism product showcases, cultural exchanges, travel-trade networking, media engagement, destination education, multi-country itinerary discussions and regional tourism partnership development.

The strategic objective was to position Uganda as a complementary Southern African tourism product, particularly for travellers interested in gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, wildlife safaris, birding, the Nile, adventure, culture and multi-destination African journeys.
