What happened, and why it mattered
Ten DMCs from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe joined a Uganda FAM then B2B at POATE 2026 — continuing Southern Africa market work led with the Uganda High Commission in Pretoria.
In May 2026 Uganda brought Southern African travel professionals into the destination after the December 2025 multi-city roadshow. A hosted delegation of ten Destination Management Companies from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe undertook a familiarisation and educational tour, then engaged in B2B meetings, networking and destination-marketing sessions at the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo 2026.
Led by the Uganda High Commission in Pretoria, the programme sits in the same regional market-development track in which AfriReps supported trade mobilisation. It is archived as a distinct programme linked to the Southern Africa Tourism Roadshow 2025 and POATE 2026.
