The Uganda Tourism Association (UTA) is the apex private-sector umbrella for Uganda's tourism industry. Incorporated in 2014 under the Companies Act as a company limited by guarantee, it unites major trade associations spanning tour operators, hotels, travel agents, safari guides, community tourism, MICE, crafts, women in tourism and regional investors. Founding members include AUTO, UHOA, USAGA, TUGATA and UCOTA; later members include BHTB, UACII, NACCAU, HOGMAU, AUWOTT and KTIF — representing 2,500+ enterprises.
